Do you have unused or old electronics taking up space in your basement or attic?
Get rid of your old electronic items and support the Framingham High Robotics Club! On Saturday June 20th, we are having an Electronics Recycling Event at Framingham High School from 8 am to 2 pm. For a fee, we will take your unwanted electronics and appliances in the main parking lot at the high school at 115 A Street. We will accept computers, monitors, microwaves, air conditioners and virtually all unwanted electronics, as well as white goods such as refrigerators and washers and large metal item such as file cabinets.
The disposal fees you pay range from $1 to $25 and all proceeds will benefit the robotics club. For example, computers, laptops, stereos and toaster ovens are $10 to recycle. TVs and monitors range from $4 to $25. White goods (washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens and refrigerators) are $25 to drop off. We’ ll even take old file cabinets. For more details and the full fee schedule go to fhs-robotics.com. These are below what many towns charge for the proper disposal of electronics. Residents of all towns are welcome. All equipment collected will go to CRT Recycling Inc. of Brockton that will reuse, resell or recycle all electronics, nearly eliminating landfill disposal of electronics. CRT Recycling will sanitize/erase or destroy all hard drives. Recycling unwanted electronics is a responsible thing to do and the only legal way to dispose of such items in Massachusetts.
Please, no batteries or tires.
