Today is Friday, March 2. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Ice: It took a turn of the calendar to March to give us one of our first real doses of winter. While moved out late on Thursday night, the wet snow, slush and wet surfaces from Thursday will likely be icy and slippery if not treated on Friday morning.

The busing will run weekends through April 22 and is required while rehabilitation work is done on the drawbridge over the Saugus River. If you take the train on the weekend, plan on delays.
