Under bright sunny skies on Monday afternoon, several hundred homes in Hamilton and Wenham were still “dark.”

National Grid crews were still working to restore electric service to about 600 homes in the two towns. About 100 homes had power restored since Monday morning.

As of 2 p.m., the largest outage remained along Highland Street from Asbury Street to Nancy’s Corner at Cutler Road in Hamilton.  Power in that area went out last night and no exact estimate was available about when it would be restored.

Local emergency responders were told that while there has been steady progress in restoring power, it might be a several days before everyone in the two towns gets their power back.
