Maria Lekkakos Ties the Knot, Marries Boston Salon Owner

Maria Lekkakos, owner of in Wenham, married Marc Harris at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Boston on Saturday. Harris owns three salons in Boston.

Lekkakos, , has run M. Lekkakos for the past eight years in the center of Wenham. Before that, it was in Hamilton for five years.

Harris owns Salon Marc Harris, which has Boston locations , in the Financial District and one near Boston Common.

After Saturday's wedding ceremony, the reception was held at the Boston Harbor Hotel.

Carol Arnold, who handles public relations for Lekkakos, said that "tons of local and national celebrities attended" the wedding, including Congressman Stephen Lynch and Miss USA

"Because Maria is Greek, there were tons of Greek traditions as well as a variety of modern twists, such as a red carpet photography session for guests, arrival on a yacht, etc," Arnold said, "so it was an amazing event."

Some of the Greek traditions at the wedding included a money dance and belly dancer.
