Seniors to Taste Tea on Wednesday Afternoon

A daily look at five things to know to get the day started from Hamilton-Wenham Patch.

Seniors to Taste Tea on Wednesday Afternoon

It is Wednesday, Nov. 6. Here are five things you need to know in Hamilton and Wenham:

1. Warmer: The temperature is forecasted to get well into the 50s on Wednesday, back up into a more comfortable range after a chilly start to the week. The sky will be a mix of sun and clouds with a southwest wind gusting to 13 miles per hour.

2. Tierney: U.S. Rep. John Tierney, who represents Hamilton and Wenham in Congress, will be the featured guest at the North Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Breakfast Forum on Wednesday morning at Ipswich Country Club. Networking starts at 7:15 a.m. and the program runs from 8 to 9 a.m. The cost is $35 for Chamber members and $55 for non-members.

3. Tea: The owner of Jolie Tea Co. will be the featured guest for Wenham senior citizens on Wednesday. Amy Job will bring a tea tasting and lecture about the history of tea to the Wenham Senior Center’s Open House at 2 p.m.

4. Bullying: A nationally certified trainer in bullying prevention has a regional appearance planned on Wednesday night in Danvers. Dr. Robin D’Antona, an author and national certified trainer in the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, will speak about the newest developments in bullying prevention before opening it up for a discussion. It is free and open to the public. It starts at 7 p.m. at Holten-Richmond Middle School.

5. ZBA: The Hamilton Zoning Board of Appeals was scheduled to meet on Wednesday night, but the two items on the agenda have both been postponed so the board will not meet. The board’s next meeting is Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at Hamilton Town Hall. The plans for Canter Brook Equestrian Center to amend its plans from 1986 and a plan from the Hamilton Fire Department to amend its 2008 plans to construct a building for the antique Model T will both be heard from by the board.
