The fall Nor'Easter that hit the two towns over the weekend left a handful of home without electricity.

Less than 2 percent of electric customers in Hamilton and Wenham were without power just before sunrise on Sunday.

A rare pre-Halloween Nor’Eastern with rain, snow and wind swept through the area on Saturday night that ended by leaving about 2-1/2 inches of snow on the ground.

National Grid said there were scattered power outages in both towns affecting 74 households out of the combined 4,589 customers with both towns.

The 36 customers without power in Wenham – most of them in the Lord’s Hill neighborhood off of Route 97 – were expected to have their power back by 6:30 a.m.

In Hamilton, the outages were most scattered and no estimate was offered for when power would be restored.

The storm did cause some small problems with downed trees and wires overnight on Saturday evening into Sunday morning. Among other incidents were trees or wires down on Route 1A, Cherry, Maples and Pleasant streets in Wenham and Donald Road and Asbury and Sagamore streets in Hamilton.
