Why Catherine Harrison?
In speaking with Catherine, I have found her to be approachable, knowledgeable, gracious, and fair-minded. By all accounts, she appears to be a candidate of sterling character who will serve our town with honesty, integrity, and impartiality. I have every reason to believe that Catherine will indeed restore (much needed) communication, openness, and active participation to us-- the citizens of Wenham.
Finally, as a parent of school-aged children, perhaps the primary reason that I support Ms. Harrison's candidacy is the fact that, unlike her opponent, her children actually attended and graduated from our Regional school district. While I fully realize and respect that folks have varied reasons for sending their kids to private schools, I simply cannot in good faith endorse a candidate who does not/did not send his children to our schools. If Mr. Wilson really has labored to improve our school district, then why aren't his children walking down the corridors? I am forced to ask myself what incentive he would have (other than protecting his property value) to work for the best interest of our school administration, teachers, and most of all, our children?
I very much hope that you will join me in casting your vote for Catherine Harrison this Thursday, April 10th at Town Hall.
