Gentle Kripalu Yoga is suitable for beginners and any one who wants to move every joint in the body, stretch gently and strengthen with calm breath and awareness. You will feel a shift during class from busy to calm and from tight to released. The class starts with centering and pranayama (breath work) and moves through poses designed to work the six motions of the spine (forward and back, side to side, and twisting left and right). The long muscles of the spine are gently strengthened with a variety of simple but powerful sequences to tone and balance the system. The class finishes with mild inversion and savasana. You will leave this class feeling refreshed and more easy in your body/mind.
