A Toyota Corolla flipped on its side Saturday at Green and Stony Brook, trapping a woman and infant.
A 24-year-old bystander whom police called "kind of a hero" broke the vehicle's glass with his left hand and foot to free the occupants, said Boston Police Officer Nicole Grant.
The accident happened at 1:16 p.m., near the Green Street T. The site is also close the .

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. But Grant said a 56-year-old taxi driver who suffered injuries in the incident said he was driving on Green toward Washington when the Corolla tried to pass him on the left.
The 25-year-old driver of the Toyota, the infant, and the 24-year-old Good Samaritan were taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment. The taxi driver was taken to Faulkner Hospital.
No complaints had been filed as of Saturday night, Grant said.
