Arlington police arrested two men late Tuesday afternoon after an alleged drug deal in a motor vehicle on Appleton Street in Arlington.

Police had 20-year-old Benjamin P. Rothman, of Tanager Street, Arlington, under surveillance and followed him as he got into a motor vehicle with another man in Arlington Heights and drove to the Appleton Street area.

Police moved in after the alleged drug transaction was complete and arrested Rothman and the other man, 22-year-old Peter A. Cook, of Winchester Drive, Lexington.
