Longtime Lynnfield resident was active in local churches.

Obituary: Christine Jacobson Kimball

Christine Jacobson Kimball, age 62, of Hamilton, formerly of Lynnfield, died in her home, unexpectedly, Saturday, August 18, 2012. She was the former wife of Attorney John (Jay) H. Kimball Jr., and the daughter of June (Waterman) Jacobson Lincoln of Wellesley and Marblehead and the late Robert Jacobson. Born in Wellesley, Christine was raised in Wellesley and Marblehead. She lived for thirty five years in Lynnfield before moving to Hamilton in recent years. She was a graduate of  Dana Hall, the University of Pennsylvania and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary where she earned  a Masters degree in Theology. She was active at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and St. Maria Goretti Church, both in Lynnfield, and Christ Church, Hamilton.

The most important things to Christine were her family and the time she spent with them. She was an extremely talented artist in several mediums, including oil painting and stained glass, a gourmet chef, highly spiritual, loved her two Afghan hounds Greta and Audrey and an avid student of the Bible.

Besides her former husband and mother, she is survived by her children, Attorney John (Jason) H. Kimball III and his wife Kathryn of Peabody, Laura K. Kimball of Beverly, Attorney Matthew J. Kimball and his wife Valerie of Middleton, Peter W. Kimball of Salem and Luke D. Kimball of Lynnfield. She also leaves her newborn grandson, Matthew Shane Kimball,  her aunt Fran Seymour and Fran's husband Alan of Marblehead and Connecticut.

Visiting hours at SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN and RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt129) Lynn will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday August 28, 2012,   Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.   Funeral services will be private.
