Today is Tuesday, Dec. 11, and here are the five things you need to know:
1. Aside from a few passing showers, it should be a pleasant day in Marblehead. The
National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect showers before 8 a.m. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Tonight is mostly clear, with a low around 28. (sunrise, 7:03 a.m.; high tide, 8:35 a.m.; low tide, 3:01 p.m.; sunset, 4:10 p.m.)
2. Wondering what's going on over at the Glover School site? We're going to publish some pictures of recent progress in today's newsletter. Click Here for a closer look at some of the foundation work that is underway, as well as a composite sketch of what the new school building will ultimately look like.
5. Today in History: On Dec. 11, 1972, Apollo 17 became the sixth and last Apollo mission to land on the moon.
