Causeway Closed, Officials To Assess Damage

Causeway Closed, Officials To Assess Damage
Town officials closed the causeway at 11:30 am Friday due to serious flooding.

The town manager will meet with the fire chief after the waters recede to assess the damage, said the manager, Jeffrey Chelgren.

A dramatic scene unfolded for tide watchers.

Waves crashed over the causeway wall, some splashes arcing 30 feet in the air.

Water poured through the canopy posts at Devereux Beach like water through fingers.

Marblehead Patch will post photos and video soon.
