From being on location in Syria and Tunisia on a movie set to reading the Greek classics such as local teachers and school staff have their work cut out for them this summer.

Here is a round up on what local teachers and staff are doing while school is out for summer:

French teacher Wendy Soucy has lived in many exciting and exotic destinations around the world. But this summer she's heading west to new territory: Yellowstone and Jackson Hole in Wyoming. Soucy will spend her time hiking with her husband.

While new mom and English teacher Caroline Todd will be spending time with her new baby, Fellow English teacher Patrice Clough will have a literary vacation. She'll travel to Lenox for a one-woman show about Shakespeare's female characters.

The nutrition director at Marblehead Community Public Charter School is excited about a gourmet camping trip she takes each year with a bunch of foodie friends to Campton, NH at the base of the Mad River. Who knows what type of gourmet creations she will be whipping up.

Village School Principal Michael Hanna will travel to Seattle and read up on school leadership.
