Swastika Found in Men's Room at Park

At 7:47 a.m., a caller said that he takes his dog walking at the park on Lighthouse Lane every day and earlier in the week he noticed a swastika in the doorjamb of the men’s room.

At 8:24 a.m., Maria Hespanhol, 49, of Beverly was arrested following a motor vehicle stop. Hespanhol was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a lights violation and forging or misusing an RMV document.

At 11:58 a.m., a caller reported her purse had been stolen from her motor vehicle on Broughton Road while she unloaded groceries.

At 9:01 p.m., police arrested Emidio Diniz, 45, of Pawtucket, R.I. A person came into the station to report he had heard a loud screech and then saw an SUV partially up on the sidewalk along Ocean Avenue. Police found the vehicle, which had struck the curb and sidewalk wall. leaving a scuff. Diniz was charged with OUI liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
