Trash Man Hospitalized After Fall From Truck

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log:

Friday, Dec. 14:

  • At 8:23 a.m., police received word that man had fallen from a trash truck near the intersection of Humphrey Street and Pickwick Road. The man was reportedly taken to the North Shore Medical Center to be treated for nose and lip lacerations.
  • At 8:40 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Seaview Avenue.
  • At 10:20 a.m., a resident entered the police station to report that a package may have been stolen off of his front porch.
  • At 10:20 a.m., a Broughton Road man called police to report that he found a gas can behind his house. The can, he said, was located "near the window where kids were trying to break into his house last night."
  • At 10:25 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Washington Street.
  • At 12:24 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Washington Street.
  • At 1:21 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Pleasant Street.
  • At 1:51 p.m., a Beacon Street woman called police to report a scamming attempt.
  • At 1:58 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Ocean Avenue.
  • At 3:59 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Sevnior Road.
  • At 4:07 p.m., police responded to a report of a young child having an allergic reaction on Pond Street.
  • At 5:14 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Summer Street.
  • At 5:28 p.m., police received word that kids were playing inside a fenced in construction site on Maple Street.
  • At 10:48 p.m., police responded to a report of a possible party on Stramski Way.
  • At 11:32 p.m., police responded to a report of a man wandering around near a dumpster on Front Street. A 22-year-old Georgetown man was placed into protective custody.

Saturday, Dec. 15:

  • At 12:45 a.m., local officers received word that they should be on the look out for the driver of a red Jeep Cherokee who may have been involved in a stabbing.
  • At 3:29 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Hines Court.
  • At 5:39 a.m., police received word that a window had been tagged on Humphrey Street.
  • At 9:13 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Hathaway Road.
  • At 11:56 a.m., a resident entered the police station to report losing a black wallet on Friday.
  • At 2:13 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Washington Street.
  • At 2:34 p.m., police received word that a building had been tagged on Brook Road.
  • At 3:14 p.m., a Richard Road resident called police to report that one of their ornamental deers was stolen and another damaged and left in their yard.
  • At 4:03 p.m., a resident entered the police station to turn over a woman's handbag that she found on Pleasant Street. It was later returned to the owner.
  • At 11:09 p.m., police responded to a report of an erratic operator near the intersection of Maple and Humphrey streets.
  • At 11:30 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Gregory Street.

Sunday, Dec. 16

  • At 12:07 a.m., police responded to a reported disturbance on Pleasant Street.
  • At 12:42 a.m., a May Street resident called police to report that two or three men had just gotten out of a truck, urinated on his front yard and then left the area.
  • At 10:42 a.m., a Jefferson Street man called police to report that four vehicles parked in the area overnight were keyed.
  • At 11:51 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Crowninshield Road.
  • At 3:17 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Village Street.
  • At 6:00 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Humphrey Street.
  • At 11:33 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Nicholson Street.
