Hold off on ambitious gardening projects even if the mild weather continues. Mars continues to move backwards in retrograde motion with Mercury joining him in March. It is a good time to rethink and redo your garden plan. Move things around and decide what structures you want to add, like those raised frames you’ve been thinking about. The energy of these two planets is in ebb as they reverse their steps and will hold back luxurious growth if you plant now.
Neptune entered his own sign of Pisces on February 3. Pisces is a water sign; Neptune is lord of the oceans (remember your mythology?). Water will become more important as the years go on. Think of creative ways to irrigate your garden. Do some research on drought resistant plants. Think about a pond for your backyard.
The best time to water for maximum effect is when the moon is in a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) or an earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) and when the moon is waxing. Try this on your houseplants to see if you notice a difference.
Look up the work of Masaru Emoto for a new perspective on water. Read his book The Hidden Messages in Water, or check out his website. Then test his theories on your houseplants. If you see a positive result, you may want to use his ideas to promote growth in your garden.
The new moon is on February 21 in Pisces.
February 21-13 are Very Good days for planting, as are February 26-28, and March 2-4.
Good days are March 5, 6, 7, 8, 16, 17.
Bad days for planting are February 24, 25, 29, March 1, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19.
However, because of the retrogrades, none of these days will be really great. You may want to wait until they are over in mid April.
