"How Do I Register to Vote on Martha's Vineyard?"

Did you recently move to the Island? With annual town meetings and elections beginning next month, you'll want to be registered and ready to take part as a voter.

"How Do I Register to Vote on Martha's Vineyard?"

Registering to vote on Martha's Vineyard is easy: You'll just need a document proving your residence in one of the Island's six towns.

A current lease or a recent utility bill in your name with your Island address — physical address, not a post office box — will be sufficient proof.

Bring your document to the town clerk in your community:

  • Aquinnah
  • Chilmark
  • Edgartown
  • Oak Bluffs
  • Tisbury
  • West Tisbury

The clerk will review your documentation and give you a voter registration form to fill out.

Find more tips for new residents in our Moving to Martha's Vineyard topic page, available from the News tab above.
