Martha's Vineyard Film Center's Call for Entries for Island Artists
The Martha's Vineyard Film Center is opening its lobby to display Island artists work. Artists interested in exhibiting their work should submit a letter of intent, a resume/bio and examples of their work on paper or viae mail by March 15 to:

A committee will jury submissions on March 18.

Selected artists will be drawn by lottery for specific show dates throughout the year. The selection committee will draw eight artist and two alternates for this year. Work will hang for one, two, or three months depending upon the season. The artist under the supervision and assistance of a committee member will hang the art. Artwork should be framed or presented in a professionally manor.

A reference sheet of titles, price list and artist biography will be mounted on a specific wall location. Anyone interested in purchasing a piece will contact and make arrangements with the artist directly. All works should remain up throughout the duration of the show. The Film Society asks for a 15% donation for any works sold on exhibit. Red dots will be placed near any works that have been sold over the duration of the show.

The shows will be advertised on The Film Center web site, Facebook, newspaper, and by direct e-mail. Any additional mailings, a formal opening and/or refreshments are the responsibility of the artist and needs to be coordinated with the management of the Film Society.

The Film Center will make every effort to protect all work. The Film Center is a secure building with a burglar alarm andsprinklers. Art is insured up to $10,000.
