A Vineyard Haven waterfront home built in 1936 for the family of a Brooklyn newspaperman has changed hands for $3,350,000.
Dukes County land records show that Marcus Strock, trustee for the Main Street Trust, sold 93 Main Street to Peter Givertzman June 6.
According to local historian Chris Baer's website, the property known as the Crist House was purchased in 1935 by Addie Slack Crist, wife of Harris M. Crist of the Brooklyn Eagle, for $7,500. The couple demolished or removed an existing house to build their new home, which by the 1970s was owned by the Strock family.
The house has four bedrooms, four and a half baths and 3,643 square feet of living space on a 29,500-square-foot waterfront lot, according to Zillow.
