It was a special night for the boys' basketball team.
The Warriors, playing their final home game of the 2011-2012 regular season, honored their four seniors prior to Friday's game against Bellingham.
Co-captains Sam Tawa and Tommy Conlon, Bobby Hunter and Matt Shea were each recognized before the game by head coach Herb Grace. The team, led by Tawa and Conlon, returned the favor and honored Grace for his 300th career victory – a feat he earned Dec. 27 in a 57-53 victory over Belmont at Oliver Ames High School in Easton.
As for the game itself, Tawa led all scorers with 14 to help Medfield win its sixth straight game with a 56-34 decision over Bellingham Friday. Junior Johnny McCarthy netted 13 and Drew Shea added 12. Conlon scored four and Matt Shea and Bobby Hunter each scored two on their nights of recognition.
Medfield led 18-9 after the first quarter, 29-23 at halftime and 49-27 after three quarters. The Warriors (13-5, 12-4) travel to Ashland Tuesday before finishing the season in Millis next Friday. Both games tip-off at 6:30 p.m.
