About MEMO

MEMO, the Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization has sponsored Discover Medfield Day since 1980 when, in 1979 the then newly-formed organization needed some way and to introduce itself to Medfield as a community group of business people who hoped to keep the local business district alive against “mall sprawl.” It invited other organizations, all of its members, and non-members in the business community to participate and it was such a success it has continued these more than 30 years even being copied by many towns.

To continue its commitment to serve the Medfield community MEMO then found other ways to promote itself and these events also continue including but not limited to Discover Medfield History Day, Holiday weekend that includes Christmas tree lighting, carol singing and a Santa Parade and the recently concluded summer concert series.

In addition, MEMO honors local individuals serving in the armed forces by purchasing and hanging flags on the main thoroughfares in the center; and also recognizes educational achievement by presenting scholarships to graduates of Medfield and Tri County High schools and donating to many local charities and service projects in town.

Membership is open to all who do business in or provide services to Medfield.
