Chelsea 6-Alarm Fire: Over A Dozen Displaced
The fire spread to three triple-decker buildings Wednesday afternoon.

CHELSEA, MA – A multi-alarm in Chelsea displaced over a dozen Wednesday. The fire began in a triple-decker home on John Street around 3:45 p.m. and spread to two other triple-deckers. Crews from several nearby communities, including Somerville, Medford and Cambridge, responded to the fire.
At its peak, the fire reached six alarms. Heavy smoke could be seen from Boston.
Sixteen residents were displaced, according to the Boston Globe. There were no injuries to residents, but two firefighters were injured, Chelsea Fire Chief Leonard Albanese told the Globe.
