Boats Catch Fire at Medford Yacht Club: Reports
Firefighters brought the blaze at Mystic Wellington Yacht Club under control around 7:45 a.m. Friday morning.

MEDFORD, MA — Multiple boats caught fire at a Medford yacht club early Friday morning.
According to reports, the blaze started around 6:15 a.m. at the Mystic Wellington Yacht Club. WBZ's Daniel Pesquera reported that the fire was contained to two boats on land.

State trooper James Vines told the Boston Globe that firefighters struggled to knock down the blaze, as gas from the boats caused it to reignite and spread beneath the vessels. The fire was eventually brought under control around 7:45 a.m., the Globe reported.
