ICYMI: Giacomo's Ristorante Plans for May Opening in Melrose

Giacomo's was unanimously approved for a common victualler's license on May 2.

MELROSE, MA—The questions of many Melrosians have finally been answered, as the plans for Giacomo's Ristorante is coming to fruition.

Co-owner Richard Talieri told the Board of Alderman at their April 25 meeting that Giacomo's is planning to open for business around May 16. Giacomo's was unanimously approved for a common victualler's license on May 2.

Talieri estimated that the restaurant would get its liquor license on May 12, and then open for business on May 16, however he did add that the opening date could be fluid.

Giacomo's will seat 85 people, and have 15 employees. The restaurant also has a location in both the Northend and Back Bay, both have been very highly acclaimed. The Northend location has a 4.5-star rating on Yelp with 2,203 reviews.

During the April 25 meeting, Talieri expressed plans to serve dinner from 4-9:30 p.m. on Sunday, 4-10:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and to stay open as late as midnight Thursday through Saturday.
