Several local organizations have held food drives to benefit the victims of the devastating tornado in Western Massachusetts. Another is this weekend.

The devastating tornado June 1 in Western Massachusetts, one of the strongest to hit the state, left damage in several communities, including Springfield, Brimfield and Monson. Last week, the Knox Trail Boy Scouts held a food drive. This week, a Girl Scout troop is hosting one.

An organizer posted the following notice on the Milford Patch Facebook page:

Tornado Drive

A local Girl Scout/Brownie troop and the Youth Group at the , 4 Congress St., Milford, is hosting a clothing/canned food drive for tornado victims in Western Mass. Drop off times are Saturday, June 11 from 3 to 6 p.m., and Sunday, June 12 from 1 to 3 p.m., at 4 Congress St.
