Milford Police Log: A Skunk and Opossum Fought on Mount Pleasant Street

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Monday, Dec. 15

At 11:46 a.m., a caller stated that a trash truck took down a cable wire on Hayward Street.

At 12:01 p.m., a woman turned in a black iPhone with a pink and white case that she found on the side of the road near the Cedar Street Market.

At 1:21 p.m., a woman stated that a man was circling her car and taking pictures of her and her car at Best Buy. She did not know why he was doing that. A man called and reported he witnessed it. It was reported that this was a road rage incident. It was later marked as a misunderstanding between both drivers.

At 1:28 p.m., it was reported that a skunk and opossum were fighting in the backyard on Mount Pleasant Street.

At 1:47 p.m., it was reported that a man was sleeping in a green GMC in the middle of Bow Street. The man had the car in gear. His license was revoked for operating a motor OUI, 2nd offense. He was transported to a hospital.

At 4:36 p.m., a 13-year-old girl told her middle school teacher that she babysits 25 children ages 1 to 8 on Mondays through Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Department of Children & Families requested a well-being check. The girl’s mother said there are no other children there and she is unaware of any babysitting. The 13-year-old is OK.
