Milford Police Quickly Douse "Fully Engulfed" Tractor Fire
Fire officials believe the blaze started in the engine of the tractor.
MILFORD, MA — A fire that fully engulfed a construction tractor was stopped in it's tracks thanks to the Milford Fire Department on Tuesday. The fire broke out in a construction area about 300 feet from the road near Beaver Street.
The fire broke out around 1:44 p.m. on a construction site. Fire officials said the area was largely open space so there was minimal risk of a brush fire breaking out. The tractor was engulfed in flames, with the fire starting in the engine.
All workers and people in the area were far from the fire when officials arrived and no injuries were reported. Fire officials said there may have been some damage to the engine of the tractor. In total it took fire crews just 15 minutes to put out the flames.
