If you're looking to buy a home in the Milford area and aren't sure how to get started, you're in luck.
The Milford Community School Use Program will present a special information session for local home buyers this Wednesday.
The upcoming "Home Buyer Boot Camp" will include discussions on the roles of realtors, lenders, home inspectors and attorneys. The aim of the session is to provide attendees with a better understanding of the importance of credit reports and how to determined how much home one can afford to purchase, according to event organizers.
Mortgage Consultant Michael Shain of the Charles River Bank will lead the presentation Wednesday, joined by industry experts and a local attorney, realtor, appraiser and a home inspector.
Those who attend will take part in real-life scenarios and a question-and-answer session, and will receive a workbook that includes worksheets about each step of the home-buying process.
The presentation, which is free of charge, will take place Wednesday, March 5 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Milford High School in Room A-3. To register, call 508-478-1119.
