Police Log: Girlfriend Throws Rock, Panhandler Complaint

Tuesday, April 16

12:07 a.m.: A caller reported a dark SUV was parked outside Peter's Market, and a person was walking around the store. It appeared suspicious. The person left before police responded.

1:23 a.m.: A caller said a gathering of about six or seven people outside TD's Pub was making too much noise, yelling and playing loud music. Police checked and found everything OK.

1:43 a.m.: A caller reported his girlfriend threw a rock through his window on Dilla Street. She had been trying to enter his house for about an hour, he reported, and also made threats to damage his car. Police are seeking a summons to charge Hannah Rae Coleman, 18, of 7 Second RD., Hopkinton, with malicious destruction of property more than $250.

1:07 p.m.: A caller on Muriel Lane said her neighbor threw a flower pot and hit his dog. Police determined all was fine, and said the caller had exaggerated the situation.

1:25 p.m.: A brush fire was reported on Cedar Street, near St. Mary's Cemetery. Firefighters determined it was in the area of the Vietnam trails. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.

1:37 p.m.: A man on Casey Drive reported she was being harassed by a neighbor.

6:14 p.m.: A caller reported an older model Saab was driving up on the sidewalks on Main Street. The car was gone when police arrived.

6:40 p.m.: A caller reported a 28-year-old woman was threatening to kill herself in the front yard. She had an unknown object in her hands and had cut herself. Police responded. The woman was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

7:27 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on North Bow Street, across from Tedeschi Market. The vehicles were towed. At least one person was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

8:47 p.m.: A neighbor told police she could hear a neighbor screaming for help. The woman screaming has two children at home. Police arrested Eric J. Wroten, 32, of 56B Hayward St., Milford, on charges of domestic assault and battery and intimidating a witness.

9:45 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, near police arrested Luis S. Lala, 28, of 38 Franklin St., Apt. 1, Milford, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, motor vehicle lights violation and a warrant.

11:21 p.m.: A man in a blue coat and black jeans was reported to be asking people for money at 7-Eleven, and harassing customers. Police responded but the man was gone.

Wednesday, April 17

12:45 a.m.: Police responded again to 7-Eleven, to speak with the individual who had been reported earlier. He was taken to a family member.

1:29 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report a stroller had been stolen from the front of her porch, on Exchange Street. She asked to be contacted if it was located.

2:07 a.m.: A Chevrolet was repossessed on Lawrence Street.

8:16 a.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report his car had been stolen, and damaged while it was at Plains Automotive. Plains reportedly had the images on camera.

11:31 a.m.: Police and EMTs responded to Kohl's Department Store, where an 83-year-old woman had fallen and struck her head. She was taken to the hospital.

12:18 p.m.: A caller reported a possible brush fire in the area of Cedar Street, possibly near the Milford Police gun range. Firefighters located the brush fire off Walden Woods Way and responded.

1:26 p.m.: A 28-year-old woman passed out at Honey Dew Donuts on Prospect Street and was taken to the hospital.
