Scioli's Pizza Bar has filed an appeal of a town-ordered, three-week alcohol license suspension, stopping the clock on the punishment that had been expected to take effect Oct. 12.

An appeal of the town's decision to suspend the alcohol pouring license for Scioli's Pizza Bar will head to Worcester Superior Court this week.

As expected, an attorney for the restaurant and bar has appealed a A request for an emergency restraining order, to prevent the punishment from taking effect, will be heard on Thursday, said Milford Town Counsel Gerry Moody.

The clock will now stop on the town action until a Superior Court judge can decide whether the punishment should be imposed.
