Three men face deportation after being arrested in Milford this morning for violation of immigration laws, Chief Tom O'Loughlin said in a press release.
Milford police assisted agents from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency in executing federal arrest warrants against the men. The agents met with Sgt. John Sanchioni to seek the assistance of Milford police.
Jose Osmin Leiva, 35, was arrested at 51 Jefferson St., Apt. 2 at 9 a.m. on a warrant for deportation by ICE agents. He was transported to the Milford Police Department for booking by Officer Paul Moffi and was turned over to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office for detention on behalf of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Dindup Punel, 28, was arrested at 32 Glines Ave. at 9:59 a.m. on a warrant for deportation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. He was transported to the Milford Police Department by Officers Paul Parisi and Dustin Testa for booking and was turned over to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office for detention on behalf of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Carlilio DaSilva, 25, was arrested at 51 Jefferson St., Apt. #1, at 10:16 a.m. on a warrant for deportation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. He was transported to the Milford Police Department by Officers Paul Parisi and Dustin Testa for booking and was turned over to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office for detention on behalf of ICE.
ICE agents had warrants in their possession for several other individuals. They were unable to locate them immediately.
