Tractor-Trailer Loaded With Hay Catches Fire In Milford
It took the Milford Fire Department and Highway Department a couple of hours to put out the fire and remove smoldering piles of hay.

MILFORD, MA- A tractor-trailer full of hay caught fire in Milford, Thursday. Both the fire department and highway department were needed to put out the fire and remove the hay.
The fire happened inside of a box trailer that was parked at 91 Medway Road. The truck driver noticed the fire after seeing in his rearview mirror that the trailer door was changing color and darkening, according to the fire department.
Fire officials said the truck was tightly packed, from ceiling to floor, with bales of hay. According to the Milford Fire Department there is no official cause but the department suspects the trucks interior lights may have been a factor, although they were told the switch for the interior dome lights was disconnected.
