Woodland School at Planning Board, and Open for Tours
Here are five things you need to know to help inform your day.
2. The entire Woodland School will be opened for public viewing on Wednesday. The idea is to allow residents a first-hand look at crowded conditions in the school, which is part of the argument for the new building. The open house begins at 6 p.m. and will include members of the Woodland School Building Committee.
3. Shelly Leclaire, a candidate for Highway Surveyor, returned the required number of signatures on paperwork on Monday. She will face incumbent Scott Crisafulli on the ballot for the April 1 town election.
4. The Milford High School National Art Honor Society on Saturday will host its 6th annual Kid's Valentine Art Workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Room E2 at the high school. Under the direction of Carolann Tebbetts, Visual Arts Instructor, children ages 6-10 will make three creative valentines which will be mailed, so bring along three addresses! Techniques will include kiragami, collage and creative lettering. A pizza lunch and materials are provided for $40 per child. See the announcement for more information.
5. In Case You Missed It: Sen. Richard Moore has co-signed legislation that would establish a mandatory minimum sentence for juveniles convicted of first degree murder.
