Milton Police Warn Residents of Recent Break-ins

Several daytime residential breaking and entering incidents have occurred in Milton this week.

Milton Police Warn Residents of Recent Break-ins

The Milton Police Department is reminding residents to lock their homes after a string of daytime break-ins started 2013. Break-ins or attempted B&E incidents took place on Hutchinson Street, Spruce Street, Herrick Drive, Brook Road and Maple Street.

According to a statement from the Milton PD on its Facebook page there is a strong chance these incidents, which all took place between noon and sunset, are linked.

“Two of the homes were unlocked and three were entered through a rear or side entry,” the statement said.

A two-door Toyota sedan may have been involved in the breaking and entering crimes.

The MPD offered the following advice to residence: “Please lock your homes at all times and be attentive to anyone in your neighborhood either on foot or in a car that is unfamiliar to you. Always call 911 if you suspect a suspicious person or possible crime taking place.”

Residents with information about these incidents can contact the Milton Police tip line at 617-698-COPS (2677) or via email at crimetips@mpdmilton.org.
