Garage Door Opener Used in Recent Break: Lock Your Cars, Say Natick Police

NATICK, MA—Every few weeks, police departments everyone are reminding residents: lock your cars and remove your valuable.

Natick police took to Facebook to issue another reminder, instigated by a recent house break where a garage door opener left in the car was used.

"Among several reasons why you should try to keep your car doors locked are the items you forget are in there," wrote police. "Credit cards, gift cards, spare keys and items that can be used to compromise your identity are all targets of the thieves. A simple click is all the insurance you will need to save yourself from 99 percent of these events."
