WATCH: Long's Jewelers Robbed: Natick Police Search for Suspect

The suspect used pepper spray to rob a jewelry store in Natick.

NATICK, MA — Natick police are looking for a suspect who allegedly robbed Long's Jewelers at 323 Speen St. .

Reporting shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police describe the suspect as six-feet tall with red hair and wearing glasses, blue jeans and a tan sweater. The suspect used pepper spray in the robbery, said police.

Police said the man entered the store and asked questions about watches. While looking at the watches the suspect brandished what appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol (black). After a period of a few seconds the suspect placed the gun into a bag he was carrying and ran for the door without taking any merchandise.

An employee took off after the fleeing man, and was sprayed with pepper spray.

No other employees were injured during the event.

The area was searched by our K9 Unit, Wayland Police Department, Framingham Police Department, 2 Massachusetts State Police K9s and Detail Officers who were situated nearby. A track was lost proximate to the rear of the building in the direction of the State Park.
