UPDATE: Route 128 in Needham Reopened Following Car Fires
All three lanes on the southbound side were closed.

NEEDHAM, MA — A crash led to the closure of Route 128 South in Needham Tuesday night.
At about 9:30 p.m., the Massachusetts State Police posted on Twitter that a three-car crash near exit 18 led to the closure of all three lanes. Two cars were on fire, state police said.
The breakdown lane was open for emergency vehicles.

At 9:54 p.m., traffic was backed up to exit 20 with a delay of 40 minutes, according to the Total Traffic Network.

By 10:38 p.m., all three lanes were reopened, state police said.
