Needham Basketball Player Thomas Shaughnessy Among 10 Players to Watch

NEEDHAM, MA — Local high school basketball fans will have they eyes on a junior at Needham High School.

Guard Thomas Shaughnessy was recently named one of the 10 players to watch by the Boston Globe. The paper writes "Shaughnessy figures to be the focal point in a Rocket attack that hopes to cause noise in Division 1 South. His 21 points against BC High in last season’s state tournament could be a sign of things to come."

So far this year, the Rockets are 2-0. They did lose to BC High in an exclusion game that will not count towards their tournament record.
