Police Reports: Hit and Run Witness Left a Note

A woman returned to her vehicle on Highland Avenue after shopping to find an anonymous note telling her that another driver had hit her car and left the scene.

The woman called police on Friday, Feb. 24 at around 12:41 p.m. to report the incident. According to the note, an elderly woman driving a vehicle with Vermont plates had struck the woman’s vehicle then left the area.

The Vermont driver was later located and advised of the situation, according to police reports.

Resident’s Credit Card Used in NY
A Captain Robert Cook Drive resident’s credit card was fraudulently used on three occasions in New York, the individual reported on Thursday, Feb. 23. The card was subsequently canceled and the account was closed.

Individual’s Social Security Number Compromised
A Hollow Ridge Road resident reported on Thursday, Feb. 23 that someone may have fraudulently used his Social Security number. He was advised to contact the Federal Bureau of Investigations as well as the Social Security Administration.

Four Fraudulent Accounts Opened
A Henderson Street resident reported on Thursday, Feb. 23 that someone had fraudulently opened four credit cards using the individual's personal information.

‘Possibly Intoxicated’ Driver Reported
A Canton resident was arrested for OUI after a witness reported seeing a “possibly intoxicated” woman in a vehicle in Needham.

The incident was reported on Friday, Feb. 24 at around 2:34 p.m. on Prince Street. Police spoke with the driver, a 39-year-old Canton woman, and subsequently arrested her for operating under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle was towed.
