Needham police, fire and DPW workers were busy Sunday morning responding to calls of power outages, wires and tree branches down around town following a late October winter storm that left several inches of snow on the area.
Though the storm had blown through by early Sunday morning, the weight of snow and ice on branches still bearing leaves continued to cause issues with falling limbs and wires. Around 11:30 a.m., officials responded to a report of a tree branch that had fallen on an occupied vehicle on Greendale Avenue near . The occupant was able to get out of the vehicle safely, according to police.
Lt. John Kramer said he was not aware of any injuries as a result of the winter storm.
