Sox Catcher's Hand Surgery a Success at Newton Wellesley Hospital
Ryan Hanigan's surgery was reportedly successful.

Red Sox catcher Ryan Hanigan underwent surgery to fix a metacarpal fracture in his right hand on Saturday. The surgery, which was performed by Dr. Matthew Leibman at Newton Wellesley Hospital, was a success, reported Major League Baseball.
Hanigan broke his hand on his right knuckle during a game on Friday night, putting him on the disabled list, according to The Boston Herald. The Sox hope that he’ll be back in the lineup by July, but for now, 23-year-old Blake Swihart will be behind the plate.
