Chippendale's Dancers to Compete in World Tap Championships

Seventy-three dancers from Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios, located in North Andover, will soon travel to Riesa, Germany to represent the United States at the World Tap Championships.

The World Tap Championships, also known as the “Olympics of Dance,” will run from November 30 to December 8 and host dancers from ages 10 to 31. The United States team will compete against 30 other countries during the championship, which is sponsored by the International Dance Organization. Teams will compete for gold, silver and bronze prizes. During their trip overseas, the United States team is scheduled to travel to Dresden, Meissen, Leipzig, Berlin and Prague.

"It is an incredible honor to have 73 of my dancers represent the United States as they compete at the World Tap Championships in Germany this December,” said Nancy Chippendale, founder of Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios. “I am extremely proud of all of their hard work and can't wait to see them perform on stage.
