Break-in Reported on Pomeroy Road

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Monday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Monday, Feb. 25

  • At 3;25 p.m., a caller reported that his daughter's iPhone was taken from her locker at school. Police found and returned the phone.
  • At 11:16 p.m., a caller reported receiving harassing tweets from her ex-boyfriend's brother who she has a restraining order against. As a result of the call, a 20-year-old North Reading male was summonsed for intimidating a witness and criminal harassment.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

  • At 9:07 a.m., a Childs Road resident reported a loud bang and power outage. Police found that the pole in front of a home on Childs Road caused the loud bang. RMLD responded.
  • At 12:46 p.m., a Walmart loss prevention officer reported shoplifting. The officer issued a no trespass order.

Wednesday, Feb. 27

  • At 1:11 p.m., a loss prevention officer from Walmart reported that a woman made threats to her and then would not leave. The woman left before police arrived.
  • At 9:19 p.m., a Pomeroy Road resident reported a past breaking and entering. The person gained entry by breaking the glass in the side door. Two glass bowls and a picture were taken.

Thursday, Feb. 28

  • At 6:49 a.m., a Putnam Road resident reported finding his car doors open, but nothing was taken.
  • At 9:51 a.m., a Patriot Way resident reported that while his daughter was walking their dog, a man approached her and asked her if she wanted to help him pick out a puppy. Detectives are investigating.
