Firefighters Battle Two-Alarm Blaze
The barn/garage was a total loss, but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it reached the house.

North Reading firefighters fought a two-alarm fire at 207 Park St. on Sunday night.
Firefighters responded to a call at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday concerning a fire in the area of Park Street and Oakdale Road and Devons Road. Engine 1 arrived and reported a heavy fire for a two-story detached barn/garage, which contained vehicles, according to North Reading Firefighters Local 1857’s Facebook page.
Firefighters struck a second alarm and multiple hand lines were run in an exterior attack. Engines 1 and 4 and Ladder 1, Rescue 2, C1 and C2 were able to contain the fire to the garage and not allow it to extend to the house on the property that was several feet away, according to North Reading Fire.

Firefighters knocked down the fire within an hour and called an all out at 10:57 p.m. The building is a total loss.
