Spring Session of Mentoring is Open

Spring Session of Mentoring is Open

North Reading Youth Services is pleased to announce a Spring session of the Mentoring Program. We are currently seeking high school mentors to serve as leaders to children grades 3-5 each Wednesday for an 8-week session. The program will begin April 2nd at 3:45-4:45 at the Flint Memorial Library Youth Room. Youth Services Director Amy Luckiewicz explained, “Our Winter Session was the biggest yet so we are also looking for more mentors this session to accommodate the interest.” Again this session, there will be a specific time for homework help, followed by a supervised group activity such as cupcake decorating, card games, or a structured project. All high school teens interested in serving as mentors, should contact Youth Services to schedule a meeting. Teens will be asked to make the 8-week commitment, serve as role models and be able to assist with homework. Teens will also receive community service hours certificates at the end of each session.

Parents of all North Reading students in grades 3-5 are encouraged to contact Youth Services to register their children or visit northreadingyouthservices.com. The program is free to all participants.
