5 Things Sept. 28: Senior Paddle, Free Coffee and More

1. Senior paddle
Norton Kayak Company and Norton Parks and Recreation will host a senior paddle at 1 p.m. Cost is $45 for seniors. Tours are three hours and include kayak rental, lesson and guide on the Norton Reservoir. For more information contact Norton Kayak Company at 1-508-740-7728 or info@nortonkayakco.com.

2. Organization seminar
WITTZ END will hold an organization seminar at the Hockomock Area YMCA 1 to 1:45 p.m. Learn what to save and what not to save. No registration is necessary. For more information email Anne Lonzo, annel@hockymca.org or call 508-643-5260.

3. Free coffee
Get a free 20 oz cup of coffee from 6 to 10 a.m. at 7-Eleven stores. For a list of 7-Eleven locations download the timeRAZOR app to your iPhone or Android. Users will also receive an alert letting them know the drive time based on current traffic. You can also grab a free cup of Joe at McDonalds until Sept. 29.

4. Pet photo contest
This week’s Patch’s Fall Picture of the Week series is all about dogs and their masters. The winning submission will get a $75 gift card. 5. Rain, with a high of 64, low around 51
Today there is an 80 percent chance of rain, mainly after 10 a.m. Patchy fog is expected after 5 p.m. The temperature high will be near 64. Light east wind will become southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Tonight there is a 70 percent chance of showers. Patchy fog is expected. Otherwise, it will be cloudy, with a low around 51. Southeast wind will be 5 to 9 mph becoming west after midnight. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
