Boston Police responding to Massachusetts Avenue for a fist fight on Saturday morning ended up arresting a Norwood man for possession of drugs.
Police said officers reportedly observed four people involved in a fist fight near Harrison and Massachusetts Avenue around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday morning.
After officers broke up the fight, they identified Sean Hannon, of 389 Neponset St. in Norwood, who had an active default warrant out for his arrest from Attleboro District Court.
Hannon was arrested on the outstanding warrant. During the arrest process, officers reported finding an empty box of cigarettes with 17 loose pills inside, which officers determined to be class E, B, and C drugs.
Officers said the Massachusetts and Harrison Avenue area is known as a high intensity drug traffic location within the district.
The other three individuals involved in the fight were released without charges.
Hannon was charged with possession of a Class B substance.
