Police: Fraud Reported at Jaguar/Land Rover of Peabody; Shoplifting Arrests and Parking Enforcement

Sunday, Dec. 21

At 1:18 p.m., shoplifting reported at Macy’s. Darren Santos, 26, of Peabody, arrested for shoplifting over $250 and possession of a burglarious instrument.

At 1:53 p.m., Motor vehicle stop on Samoset Road. Acacio M. Pinto, 49, of Peabody, was arrested for larceny over $250 and receiving stolen property.

At 2:29 p.m., shoplifting reported at Sears. Vanessa M. Pearson, 36, of Malden, was arrested for shoplifting over $100, possession of a burglarious instrument, possession of Class E drug and receiving stolen property under $250.

At 3:17 p.m., shoplifting at H & M. Vanessa M. Rosa, 22, of Brockton, arrested for shoplifting by concealing merchandise and for a warrant. Arlette Monreiro, 27, of Peabody, was arrested for shoplifting over $100 by concealment,receiving stolen property under $250 and warrant.

At 8:59 p.m., motor vehicle accident on Rainbow Circle. No injuries. No tows.

At 9:37 p.m., burglar alarm at Citizens For Adequate Housing. First-floor motion, Building secure.

At 9:43 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Lake Street. Verbal warning given for speeding. 46 mph in posted 30 mph.

At 10:45 p.m., reports of gas odor on Central Street. Officer smelled odor of gas, fire. Gas company notified.

Monday, Dec, 22

At 8:38 a.m., parking enforcement at Brown School. Multiple cars removed.

At 10:01 a.m., fraud reported at Jaguar/Land Rover of Peabody. Customer (not on scene) refused to pay for bill after paying for the service with a check from a closed account.

At 1:26 p.m., motor vehicle accident on Lynnfield Street. No injuries. No tows.
