At 3:16 p.m., police arrested Selvyn Lopez, 37, 380 Essex St., Apt. 2, Lynn, and charged the person with operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Lowell Street.
At 4:38 p.m., police arrested Jamila I. Smith, 33, 2 Hamilton Way, Holbrook, and charged her with shoplifting by concealing merchandise (third offense). Police made the arrest at TJ Maxx.
At 5:44 pm., police arrested Connie M. Roper, 33, 42 Walsh Ave., Peabody, and charged her with possessing a Class C drug and a motor vehicle lights violation. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Lowell Street.
At 5:51 p.m., police responded to Burlington Coat Factory after a report of a person selling stereos out of a vehicle. The person left before police arrived.
At 6:04 p.m., police summonsed a 56-year-old Essex man to court and charged him on two counts for violating an abuse prevention order.
At 6:10 p.m., police arrested Andre G. Brown, 26, 64 Gardener St., Lynn, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Veterans Memorial Drive.
Saturday, April 19
At 12:13 a.m., a Northend Street resident reported that her vehicle was egged. Police have identified a suspect.
At 1:03 a.m., police arrested William T. Perry, 30, 8 Northend Ave., Apt. 1, Salem, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, a marked lanes violation and a motor vehicle equipment violation. Police made the arrest on Spring Street.
At 1:10 a.m., a Bresnahan Street resident reported an attempted burglary. Someone tried to push in a bathroom window to enter the residence. Police took a report.
At 1:25 a.m., police received a report about a past vehicle burglary. Two vehicles were damaged. Someone smashed a car window and damaged a door’s locking mechanism on one vehicle and smashed two windows on another vehicle. A GPS was taken from the second vehicle. Police took a report.
At 5:32 a.m., police recovered a stolen vehicle on Essex Center Drive. The vehicle smashed into a Dumpster and the driver fled the area. The Dumpster and a storage shed were damaged. The vehicle was towed. Police contacted the vehicle’s owner.
At 11:46 a.m., a Wheatland Street resident reported finding two hypodermic needles in the street. Police destroyed the needles.
At 12:15 p.m., a Northshore Mall employee reported a past shoplifting at Olympia Sports. The person reportedly stole Nike Lebron 11 sneakers valued at $200.
At 10:24 p.m., a Macy’s employee reported a shoplifter tried to steal $69 worth of merchandise. The store said it would handle the matter.
Sunday, April 20
At 12:22 a.m., a Harris Street resident reported someone broke into his car and stole items. Police took a report.
At 10:58 a.m., a Lincoln Place resident reported finding multiple sick kittens in his yard. Animal control transported the kittens to Borash Veterinary Clinic.
